PE kit
Please try to ensure that your child has their PE kit in school with them at all times. At this time of year it is vital that they have sweatshirts, trainers and tracksuit bottoms so that they are able to participate fully when the class is outside. We also suggest that your child brings in a small towel and a plastic bag for wet/muddy clothes. If you are unsure as to what day your child does PE please contact their class teacher.

Parent volunteers
Do you have a couple of hours to spare? Are you handy with a laminator and a staple gun?
If so we would welcome any spare pairs of hands to help with displays in school.
Please contact me or Mrs Jordan if you are willing and able!! We really want to showcase the wonderful work that your children complete but do not always have enough hours to do so.

Year 6 staffing
Mr Glennon has now joined school and will be working alongside Mrs Sheldrake as she prepares to go on maternity leave. He will be around on the playground at the start and end of the day so please come and say hello.

School Dinner Arrears
The school is currently owed £1,300 in school dinner money. Arrear slips are given to the children every Friday and if you have received one, please can you clear your arrears as soon as possible as the school is unable to carry such a large deficit. Please be aware that this has an impact on what we can provide for the children in other areas as we only have a limited amount of money in the budget.

Please remember that school starts at 8:50am with registers closing at 9am. Any child who arrives after 9am will have that session marked as an “unauthorised absence” and this WILL impact on their overall attendance figure for the term. The office staff work from 8:30am until 4pm (3:30pm on a Friday) and there is an answerphone at all other times so that you can leave a message regarding any absences.

Leave of Absence
Please remember that any requests for leave of absence should be made at least 2 weeks in advance of the start date. Leave of absence will only be authorised in exceptional circumstances.
