Welcome back to school from what I hope was a restful and enjoyable break.
The summer term is always one which seems to be packed with activities and goes extremely quickly!
Although we still have to set dates for sports days and end of term events, there are already a few dates that are in the diary:
Wednesday 23rd April – wear red & white or dress up as princesses, dragons and knights for
St George’s Day.
Monday 28th & Tuesday 29th April – parents’ evenings for children in Mr Cardwell’s class.
Tuesday 29th April – class photographs.
Wednesday 30th April – Friends’ meeting at The Jolly Sailor 8pm.
Monday 12th – Thursday 15th May – SATs week for our Year 6 children – no clubs in the hall or music lessons.
Thursday 22nd May – INSET day as school is being used as a Polling Station.
I will keep you informed of other dates via the newsletter and the website.
Lost Property/Uniform Donations
There is a lot of lost property in the box at present, much of it unnamed. I would be grateful if you could ensure that all uniform is clearly named so that we can return it to its rightful owner. Any lost property which is not claimed and can be reused will be taken by the Friends of Nevill Road for their second hand property sales. A box has been placed in the Reception area for second hand uniform donations.
The Student Support Centre
A self explanatory letter has gone out tonight regarding The Student Support Centre. Please return the slip to school by Thursday, 24th April. Nil Returns are Required. Thank you.
Glee Club commences Tuesday, 29th April at 3.30 pm.
On our first week back from the Easter break we are already owed £275.95 in dinner monies. There are a number of parents who did not clear their accounts at the end of the last half term and owe a considerable amount of money. I ask that these arrears are settled as a matter of urgency and future payments made in advance on a Monday morning.
