Wednesday 22nd – Year 3 recorder concert to parents 9am
– Year 6 play to parents 2pm & 7pm
Friday 24th – Leavers’ assembly 2:30pm
– school closes for the summer 3:20pm
Final attendance certificates for the year will be awarded on Thursday of this week.
Please note that absences can only be authorised in exceptional circumstances or for illness.
I have had a number of queries about unauthorised attendances from the documents that were sent out with reports. As we have explained previously, if your child arrives at school after the registers have closed then this is marked as an “unauthorised” attendance. Lessons start at 9am and we expect children to arrive at school around 8:45am so that they are ready to go into school at 8:50am for registration.
I will look at amending the format of next year’s school reports so it is clear whether the absence was due to lateness or to not being in school.

I was contacted by a concerned parent yesterday after they had witnessed a child run out across the road during morning drop off. Please can you reinforce to your children that they should only be crossing this road where the crossing patrol is. We will also remind them in school about road safety.

There will be a vacancy for a midday assistant from September. If you are interested in applying for the post then please contact the school office.
A camera was found in the hall following the Music Concert on Thursday, 9th July. Please come to the School Office to reclaim.
