Nevill Road App
Paper copy newsletters will no longer be sent out. If you do not have a smart phone you are able to request for a paper copy to still be sent home via your child by emailing the School Office on Alternatively the newsletter is also available on the website.
You can download the app by searching for ‘Nevill Road Schools’ and download the app that displays our school logo. When downloading it is important that you select ‘Yes’ for all options in particular push notifications.

Year 6 SATs
Our Year 6’s will be taking their Key Stage 2 assessment in the week beginning Monday, 9th May. We would ask that you try to ensure that the children arrive rested after a good night’s sleep and promptly each day. All the tests will be taken in the mornings and all children are expected to sit them at the same time. If your child is ill please contact school as soon as possible so that we can apply for a timetable variation to enable them to sit the test. The children have worked really hard over their time at school and we always explain to them that all we want is for them to do their best and show what they are capable of.

Attendance and office times
Please remember that school starts at 8:50am with registers closing at 9am. Any child who arrives after 9am will have that session marked as an “unauthorised absence” and this WILL impact on their overall attendance figure for the term. The office staff work from 8:30am until 4pm (3:30pm on a Friday) and there is an answerphone at all other times so that you can leave a message regarding any absences.

In addition, please note that children should not be arriving in the playground before 8:40am. Teachers are busy with their preparations for the school day up until that point and therefore not available should there be an accident. Should a child fall and be in need of First Aid they should knock on the doors from the playground or go round to the office entrance.

Best wishes,

Mrs Nicola Jordan
Acting Headteacher
