Newsletter week beginning 09/02/15

Dear Parents/Carers,

Healthy Lifestyle survey
Thank you to all those who returned their surveys to school. Now that we have this information we would like to set up a small working party to analyse the replies and start to work on developing ways of moving forward. If you are interested in joining governors, staff and children in this please let me know.

Friends of Nevill Road AGM
Thank you to all those who attended the AGM last Wednesday, 4th February, at 7pm in the Junior school.
At this meeting the following people were elected:
• Chair – Rob Jowett
• Vice Chair – Claire Williams
• Treasurer – Liz Owen
• Secretary and 50/50/ organiser – Leah Shepherd.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday 11th March at 8pm in The Jolly Sailor.

I would like to thank the Friends for the amazing work they do in raising additional funds for the school. This year the Juniors have had new iPads bought and the money from the Christmas Fair means that this number will be able to be increased. We really do value all the hard work and the support that is given by so many parents. Thank you.

Class attendance
Well done to Miss Wilson’s class, Y6W, for having the best attendance last week with 99.1%.
Attendance seems to be down at present, largely due to the number of bugs going around. Please remember to contact the school office if your child will not be in school. There is an answerphone for when the staff are not there.
