Newsletter week beginning 08/12/14

Dear Parents/Carers,

Key103 Mission Christmas
Thank you for the donations that have already been made. If you still wish to make a donation please note that the final date is Friday 12th December as the donations will be collected on Monday 15th December.
Any gift has to be new and unwrapped and suitable for babies, toddlers, children or teenagers.
Many thanks for supporting this worthy local charity.

Year 6 residential trip
Please ensure that all deposits for the Year 6 trip to Glaramara are paid to the office by Friday,
12th December.

National Christmas Jumper Day
On 12th December we will be celebrating National Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children.
Children have the option of wearing a Christmas jumper instead of a school sweatshirt and may also bring a donation. Please don’t feel you need to rush out and make any special purchases as this is entirely optional! Any donations will go to Save the Children.

Music Concert for band and choir
On Monday 15th December we will be holding a short music concert for the school.
Parents of children in the choir, band and those who have been selected to play the violin or a wind instrument by Mrs Wood or Mrs Bailey may also attend. The concert will start promptly at 2:45pm.

School Christmas Dinner
Thank you for returning forms for Christmas dinner which will be held on Thursday 18th December.
All the food has now been ordered so it will not be possible to opt to have a Christmas dinner on the day.
Children may wear Christmas hats into school that day if they wish to.

Friday 19th
We close for the Christmas holidays at 3:20pm on Friday 19th December. Children may wear their party clothes into school that day. There will be a Talent show in the morning and year group parties in the afternoon. Further information will be provided next week.

Christmas Post-box
We have received a few cards without the full details on the front, which has made it hard for our Year 6s who deliver the cards. Please make sure all envelopes have the recipient’s first name and last name and the class that they are in. Thank you.
