Newsletter week beginning 08/06/2015

Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome back to what is always a very busy half term. I hope that you had a lovely break at half term and managed to find some sun somewhere!
During our time away the roofs over the classrooms have been replaced and we have finished replacing the carpet in the corridors. The second phase of roofing work will be carried out during the summer holidays. As this is over the hall and the kitchen there will be no summer clubs run from inside our school. If the Before and After School club do put one on then it will take place in the Infant school.

Hot Dinners
As we approach the end of the school year it is important that our accounts are up to date. With this in mind, we are currently owed £877.54 for dinners. Could I please ask that all arrears are cleared as a matter of urgency. There is a large amount of Admin time being taken up chasing these arrears, so may I please remind you that hot dinners are to be paid for in advance on Monday mornings. Thank you.

Term dates for 2015-2016
Term dates for the next academic year have been sent out and are on the school website.
Please note that Easter falls within the Spring term – we are in for 4 days after Easter Monday before breaking up for the holidays, so please be careful if booking a holiday for that time.

Attendance
Please remember that school starts at 8:50am with registers closing at 9am. Any child who arrives after 9am will have that session marked as an “unauthorised absence” and this WILL impact on their overall attendance figure for the term. The office staff work from 8:30am until 4pm (3:30pm on a Friday) and there is an answerphone at all other times so that you can leave a message regarding any absences.

Best wishes,
Miss Sheila Harrison
Headteacher
