Newsletter week beginning 07/07/14

Dear Parents/Carers,

The following children were presented with certificates in assembly this morning:

Y6H & Y6R – the whole of each class for participating in activities, following instructions and maintaining fantastic behaviour throughout the trip to Glaramara. You were ALL a pleasure to take.
Y5C – Sam for producing an extremely scary setting in Literacy.
Y5C – Daniel W for excellent results in his Maths assessments.
Y5K – Dominic for showing great determination in Maths.
Y5K – Kathryn for having a fantastic attitude towards elements of school.
Y5W – Ben G for designing and painting a fantastic piece of art work inspired by the work of Peter Thorpe the abstract artist.
Y5W – Asa for using a variety of punctuation to improve his writing and thinking carefully about how he can achieve his targets.
Y4J – Aliyah for approaching everything she does with enthusiasm and having a positive attitude towards learning.
Y4J – Freya for writing a fantastic description of a setting.
Y4L – Thomas for always working his hardest and making great progress in maths.
Y4L – Olivia B’k for fantastic progress in all areas and always trying her hardest.
Y4N – Harleigh for creating a beautiful portrait in the style of Romero Britto.
Y4N – Nat for a fantastic explanation of his machine.
Y3LW – Jessica for her super art work.
Y3LW – Jack for his super work in English.
Y3M – Isabelle D for making a great carnival mask as part of the topic on Brazil.
Y3M – Cece for making a great carnival mask as part of the topic on Brazil.
Y3P – Luke H for an informative, persuasive poster to advertise Brazil.
Y3P – Keanna for a kind, caring and responsible attitude to her work, the class and especially other people.

Well done to classes Y6H and Y4L who both had 99.2% attendance last week.
If your child is not in school for any reason, please phone the school office to let us know. The answer machine is on from 4:00pm until 8:30am so it is always possible to leave a message.

School Dinners
As we approach the end of the school year, all dinner monies must be up to date and all arrears must be cleared by Monday, 21st July. Arrear notes will be sent out every week and where possible an email will be sent with the amounts owed. We are currently owed £320.50 for unpaid dinners. Thank you.

You may have seen that some schools are closed on Thursday 10th July. We will be open as usual.
