Football
Both the A and B teams played away at Vernon on Tuesday 29th April, earning draws of 2-2 and 3-3 respectively. This was our last game of the season and I would like to hope that our Year 6s will continue to play once they have moved on to their new schools. Well done to everyone concerned.

School Dinners
This week the school is owed £227.45 in unpaid dinner monies. Please may I remind you that Dinner Order Forms are sent home with the children every Friday and they must be returned on Monday morning with the dinner order for that week/term, together with payment.

Reminders
Year 6 Residential to Glaramara – final payments to be made by Friday, 30th May.
Bikeability Level 2 Training – Year 5 only – there are still a few places available. If you would like
your child to take part, please complete and return the form by Friday, 9th May. (Forms available
from the School Office).

SATs week
Our Year 6s will be taking their end of key stage assessments between 12th and 15th May. They have all worked extremely hard and I am sure that this will be reflected in their results in July. During this week I would ask that all the Year 6 children arrive at school refreshed after a full night’s sleep and having had a good breakfast to give them the energy that they need. It is important to drink lots of water and to avoid too much sugar, such as is found in energy drinks and sweets. We will endeavour to provide a calm environment and reduce the pressures on the children.

Dates:
Monday 12th – Thursday 15th May – SATs week for our Year 6 children – no clubs in the hall (Street Dance and Glee Club will be in Classroom 3LW) and no music lessons this week.
Thursday 22nd May – INSET day as school is being used as a Polling Station.
Friday 23rd May – close for half term at 3:20pm.
Monday 9th June – school reopens at 8:50am.

Best wishes,

Miss Sheila Harrison
Headteacher
