Dear Parents/Carers,

Photographs: Due to staffing issues the photographer will now take individual photographs in the Junior school on Monday 16th November and family photographs in the Infant school on Tuesday 17th.

Asthma – inhalers and spacers
Now that we have entered November we often find that children’s asthma becomes worse due to the weather.
Please make sure that your child has an in-date inhaler in school. It is also vital that they have a spacer in order to feel the full effect of the medication.


Friday 13th Children in Need day – the theme is “Superheroes or childhood heroes”
Monday 16th Anti-bullying week begins – “Make a noise about bullying”

Wednesday 25th Swimming starts for Y3
Friday 27th Non-uniform – donations for the chocolate stall at the Christmas Fair

Friday 4th Non-uniform – donations of bottles and cakes for the Christmas Fair
Friday 4th Christmas Fair 5pm-7pm
Tuesday 8th Choir singing at St George’s church in the Stockport Schools’ Carol Concert
Tuesday 15th Y3 recorder and carol performance to parents – 2:30pm (time to be confirmed)
Wednesday 16th Y4 Christmas play to parents – 2pm and 6:30pm (times to be confirmed)
Thursday 17th School Christmas dinner and Christmas hat day
Friday 18th National Christmas Jumper day; Talent show; Christmas parties;
Close for Christmas holidays at 3:20pm

Attendance and office times
Please remember that school starts at 8:50am with registers closing at 9am. Any child who arrives after 9am will have that session marked as an “unauthorised absence” and this WILL impact on their overall attendance figure for the term. The office staff work from 8:30am until 4pm (3:30pm on a Friday) and there is an answerphone at all other times so that you can leave a message regarding any absences.

Friends of Nevill Road Halloween competition
Thank you to everyone who submitted a pumpkin design. The winners for each year group were:
Year 3 – Edwin (3D)
Year 4 – Alex (4Hu)
Year 5 – Jessica (5L)
Year 6 – Tom & Nathan (6E)
The overall winner in the Junior school was Olivia W (3K).

Emergency contact numbers
Please can you ensure that you let school know if there are any changes to contact details.
There have been occasions when we have struggled to get in touch with people in an emergency due to not having up-to-date information.
